Effective Date: October 23, 2026

Welcome to Taylor Residential Maintenance. These Terms of Service explain the conditions governing the use of our website, requests for services, and general business practices.

By using our website or contacting us for services, you acknowledge these Terms. Any actual repair, installation, or improvement work is subject to the terms of the estimate, proposal, or service agreement accepted by the customer, together with applicable law.

2. Website Use

Our website is provided for general information about our business and services.

You agree to use the website only for lawful purposes and not to interfere with its operation, security, or availability.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit our website content, branding, illustrations, or other proprietary materials without permission, except as permitted by law.

We may update website information, service descriptions, and these Terms from time to time.

3. Service Requests and Estimates

Submitting a contact form, making a phone call, or requesting an estimate does not automatically establish a service agreement or guarantee an appointment.

Before agreeing to perform work, we may request additional information, including photographs, measurements, product details, property conditions, or an in-person assessment.

Any estimate will reflect the information available at the time it is prepared.

A written estimate or proposal should identify the work included, pricing or pricing method, and any relevant project-specific conditions.

Unless otherwise stated in writing, estimates do not include additional work, materials, or repairs that were not part of the original scope.

We reserve the right to decline projects that are outside our services, require specialized professional licensing, present safety concerns, or cannot reasonably be completed with available resources.

4. Scheduling and Appointments

Appointments are scheduled based on availability and the nature of the requested work.

We make reasonable efforts to honor agreed appointment times. However, weather, supplier delays, unexpected job conditions, emergencies, or other circumstances beyond our control may require adjustments.

If an appointment must be rescheduled, we will make reasonable efforts to notify the customer and arrange an alternative date.

Customers should notify us as soon as reasonably possible if an appointment needs to be changed or canceled.

Any project-specific cancellation or rescheduling fees must be communicated and agreed upon in advance. Nothing in this section limits cancellation rights provided by applicable law.

5. Pricing and Payment

Pricing depends on the nature of the work, materials required, project complexity, and conditions at the property.

Final payment terms, including any deposits, progress payments, material charges, and payment deadlines, will be outlined in the applicable estimate, invoice, or service agreement.

For projects involving special-order materials, including certain Onyx shower components, a deposit or advance payment may be requested when disclosed in the applicable agreement and permitted by law.

No undisclosed fees or additional work charges will be imposed without appropriate customer authorization.

Customers are responsible for paying amounts properly due under their accepted service agreement.

6. Changes to the Scope of Work

During some home repair and improvement projects, previously hidden conditions may become apparent.

Examples include damaged wall materials, unsuitable mounting surfaces, concealed deterioration, plumbing concerns, or other conditions that affect the planned installation.

If additional work is necessary, we will discuss the issue with the customer before proceeding.

Changes affecting the agreed scope, cost, or schedule should be documented and approved before the additional work begins.

Certain conditions may require the services of a licensed specialist or a separate contractor.

7. Customer Responsibilities

To help ensure a safe and efficient appointment, customers agree to:

  • Provide accurate information about the requested work and relevant property conditions.

  • Ensure an authorized adult is available when necessary to approve work and provide access.

  • Provide reasonable access to the work area.

  • Secure pets and remove personal belongings or obstructions from the immediate work area when reasonably requested.

  • Disclose known hazards, leaks, damage, or other conditions that may affect the work.

  • Obtain any required property-owner, landlord, or homeowners association approvals before work begins.

Customers should notify Mark if any supplied fixtures, materials, or products are missing parts, visibly damaged, or subject to special installation requirements.

8. Customer-Supplied Materials and Products

Customers may purchase certain fixtures, hardware, or other materials for installation.

Customer-supplied products must be suitable for the intended application and compatible with existing conditions.

We are not responsible for manufacturing defects, missing components, product recalls, or inaccuracies in manufacturer instructions.

If a customer-supplied product cannot be installed appropriately because of incompatibility, damage, or missing components, we will explain the situation and discuss available options.

Any charges for assessment, completed work, or additional visits will be governed by the applicable service agreement.

Manufacturer warranties remain subject to the manufacturer's terms.

9. Workmanship and Product Warranties

Taylor Residential Maintenance aims to provide careful, dependable workmanship.

Any specific workmanship warranty, if offered, will be identified in writing in the applicable estimate, invoice, or service agreement.

Products and materials may carry separate manufacturer warranties. These warranties are provided by the applicable manufacturer, subject to its conditions.

Normal wear and tear, misuse, improper maintenance, unauthorized alterations, or product defects may fall outside a workmanship warranty.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts warranties, remedies, or consumer protections that cannot lawfully be waived.

10. Safety, Permits, and Specialized Work

Some repair and installation projects require special permits, inspections, or appropriately licensed professionals.

Taylor Residential Maintenance will only undertake work within its capabilities and applicable legal requirements.

Projects involving significant electrical modifications, new electrical circuits, substantial plumbing alterations, structural changes, or other regulated work may require additional qualified professionals.

Any required permits, inspections, licensed trades, and related responsibilities should be addressed in the project-specific agreement before work begins.

We reserve the right to suspend or decline work if unsafe conditions are discovered.

11. Onyx Shower Installations

Onyx shower installation and replacement projects may involve special-order materials, manufacturer-specific installation instructions, and additional site considerations.

Product colors, patterns, dimensions, accessories, and availability are subject to manufacturer offerings and specifications.

Project timelines may be affected by ordering, manufacturing, shipping, existing bathroom conditions, and installation requirements.

Customer selections, material costs, installation scope, and any applicable deposit or cancellation conditions will be addressed in the project-specific agreement.

Onyx products are subject to the manufacturer's published warranty and care instructions.

12. Cancellations and Applicable Consumer Rights

Customers may request to cancel or reschedule services by contacting Taylor Residential Maintenance.

Cancellation terms for accepted projects will be described in the applicable service agreement and must comply with applicable law.

Certain transactions conducted in a customer's home or other covered locations may qualify for a statutory cancellation period under Missouri or federal law.

When applicable, required cancellation notices and disclosures will be provided as part of the transaction documents.

Nothing in these Terms limits or waives a customer's statutory right to cancel an eligible transaction.

13. Concerns About Completed Work

We encourage customers to inspect completed work and contact us promptly with any concerns.

If you believe there is a workmanship issue, please call 660-734-5870 and provide a description of the concern.

Photographs may help us understand the issue.

We will review reported concerns and discuss reasonable next steps based on the nature of the work, the applicable service agreement, any written warranties, and applicable law.

14. Website Information and Illustrations

Website descriptions, illustrations, photographs, and examples are provided to help visitors understand our services.

Illustrated characters and promotional graphics may depict representative work rather than actual project conditions.

Photographs identified as completed projects represent particular installations and do not guarantee identical results in every home.

Individual outcomes depend on product choices, property conditions, installation requirements, and the agreed scope of work.

15. Third-Party Products and Websites

Our website may contain references or links to manufacturers, suppliers, or other third parties, including The Onyx Collection.

These resources are provided for convenience and general information.

We do not control the content, policies, or availability of third-party websites.

References to third-party products do not imply a formal affiliation, endorsement, or certification unless expressly stated.

16. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Taylor Residential Maintenance is not responsible for losses arising solely from interruptions, errors, or unavailability of its informational website.

Any limitations of liability relating to physical repair or installation services must be addressed in the applicable written service agreement and remain subject to applicable law.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or remedies that cannot legally be limited.

17. Privacy

Information submitted through our website or other communication channels may be used to respond to inquiries, provide estimates, schedule appointments, and communicate about requested services.

Details about personal information, website analytics, cookies, and applicable privacy rights should be addressed in our separate Privacy Policy.

18. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, except where applicable federal law or other mandatory legal provisions control.

Any dispute will be handled in accordance with applicable law and any enforceable provisions of the relevant service agreement.

19. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms of Service as our business, website, or legal obligations change.

Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.

Changes will not retroactively alter an existing customer agreement unless permitted by law and appropriately agreed upon.
